Remove broken software links after harddrive failure
Recently the HDD of my desktop failed. This drive contained my personal files and most of the software I use. My windows installation runs from the still operational SSD. I bought a new HDD but since I don't have a backup of the applications on the old drive I'm afraid that after reinstalling them, Windows will not work properly because the old links to the applications will not work. By "links" I do not mean start menu links but for example right click actions, uninstall links, etc.
Is this gonna be a problem? And if so, is there a way to scan and remove the broken links?
Thanks!
