Executing UFT scripts from a remote machine by invoking outlook configured in local system
In my company, UFT has been installed on remote servers. Some of the test scripts require sending an email or validating receipt of an email. To facilitate the same we installed outlook and configured our emails in the remote server.
But the issue is that the Outlook server is eating up a lot of place in the server.
So the question is can we have the Outlook server configured in our local system and have the UFT in remote server invoke the outlook from our local system for sending an email or validating receipt of an email?

1. Outlook is a client application, not a server. Please use the EDIT button to clarify this point throughout your question. I assume you haven't installed Exchange on these servers. 2. There are lots of ways to send email besides Outlook, and if you are using an Exchange environment, you can always make things simple for yourself by configuring an internal-only SMTP gateway to handle the traffic from these senders. 3. Why do you have to email these reports? There are plenty of more effective and efficient ways to send and capture log files, especially on a domain network.
