Microsoft Word – break line with hyphen for a single word
I am using a Macbook and would like to break a single word on my document using a hyphen. Manual hyphenation is not asking me about the word I am trying to hyphenate: 'components'.
I want to break the line by hyphenating from 'compo-'.
Exactly like the following:
(i) Explain the von Neumann architecture, drawing a diagram of its major compo-nents.
How do I do this?

Is this a layout issue? Why don't you just put your cursor there and add the hyphen where required and then tell Auto-Correct to ignore the issue?
