Lowest level features of Unix operating system

0

When I first did an analysis of the lowest-level features of Unix, I came up with this list:

  • TCP (Networking, HTTP, HTTPS)

  • FS (file system)

  • Memory (dealing with memory)

  • Instructions (individual assembly instructions)

  • Processes

  • Graphics (GPU)

  • Evented I/O

  • Timers

  • Users/groups/admin

But then I came across things you can plug into the computer as "devices". I would like to know if there is anything else missing from this list.
