I have Kali Linux installed on my laptop as a Virtual Box guest. I have installed the guest addons. However, how do I update Virtual Box and keep the guest addons up to date?
Specifically, I am going from 5.1.38 to 5.2.22. I guess what I need to know is:
- How do I check what version of VurtualBox the guest additions in apt-get support?
- How do I update the installed guest additions to the new version?

You update guest additions by simply updating VirtualBox on the host OS. Once you do that, you update the additions on the guest os, the same way you installed it originally.
