how to bypass xbindkeys on demand

0

I'm trying to define a custom behavior for a mouse button but only for some app, so I'm doing something like

~/.xbindkeysrc

"~/button_6.sh"
b:6

now on my ~/button_6.sh I have something like

if [[ "$(active_application)" == "program1" ]]; then
do_something
else
# do the default thing
fi

the problem is "do the default thing" that was replaced by xbindkeys and if I do something like xvkbd -text m6 or xdotool click 6 or xte 'mouseclick 6' just keep repeating the again and again

my question might be interpretate like "How to preserve or simulate the original behavior" or "how to bypass xbindkeys on demand"
