WinSCP does not duplicate symbolic links of directories but makes deep copy instead
I have a SFTP connection to a Unix server, which contains several directories, some of the directories are real directories, whereas some are symbolic links to other directories. I would like to copy all these directories to another folder on my Unix server using SFTP, and preserve the source type of each directory, i.e. if the source was a symbolic link, the target should be a symbolic link to the same destination as well, whereas if the source was a directory, the target should be a deep copy.
I thought this could be obtained by the "duplicate" function in the context menu, but unfortunately, this always causes all target folders to be deep copies of the source, losing the symbilic links.
How can I achieve what I am targeting?

Works for me. It can be something specific to your server. Post WinSCP session log file showing a duplication of a folder with one subfolder and one symbolic link to that subfolder.
