Is it possible to set the pdfminorversion on the commandline when calling pdflatex, instead of using pdfminorversion=... in the tex file ?

Assuming your LaTeX source file is named file.tex
:
pdflatex "pdfminorversion=5 input file.tex"
It works, thanks.

:
