How to maintain pivot chart format after selecting slicer/timeline range with no data?

I changed all the formatting to 'Solid Fill' instead of automatic. Hence, all formatting works well when I browse through different data range. However, the formatting reset itself if I choose a range with no data.

Is there a way to prevent this?

Formatting works well in Jan, Nov & Dec.
Feb has no data.
When I go back to January, all formatting is lost.
