Never ever open a binary file in a texteditor AND save it again. The editors try to interpret the data will destroy it. Well, if you have no backup - no sorry.

My question is how do i restore it back to a PNG file format? I've tried copying to notepad++ and saving it as PNG and it does not work.

Never ever open a binary file in a texteditor AND save it again. The editors try to interpret the data will destroy it. Well, if you have no backup - no sorry.
