WhatsApp only restoring partial chat history
I am having the same issue on two different phones at the moment. I am trying backup the chats on two old phones and restore to two new phones and both are only partially restoring the chat history。
I am using the automagic way which has almost no setting. Just log into Google Drive and do backup then when you log into the new phone it's supposed to restore. But it only gets a handful of old chats. Nothing from the last year.
I am not getting any (obvious) error when the backup or restore is running.
Is there another way to migrate the history from one phone to another? Something more manual maybe?
