How do I stream raspivid on netcat over ipv6 with TCP(or ipv4)

1

my goal is to minimize network delay as much as possible and to be able to use my streamed raspivid video along-side Open-CV so I can use real-time object tracking. netcat ipv6 documenation is lacking so does anyone here know how I achieve this?

Server: my raspberry pi 3b+

host: debian9 virtual machine

edit: apparently my raspberry pi can't detect open ports I've made with "nc -l -p 6454" with "nmap 127.0.0.1"

  • Real-time traffic should use UDP, not TCP. With TCP, when packets are lost (and they will be) you will be requesting out-of-date information, and waiting for it (not real time), that is useless by the time you get it.

  • I'll try that protocol out but im struggling trying to get my open virtualbox port to be detected do you think you can help with that as well?
