HEROKU Text file getting reverted to commit status after some days
I'm having a problem with Heroku, I'll explain my situation here:
I've made an app that edits a txt file based on some commands that are run while the app is up. For example let's say I create a txt file containing "Hello guys!" and suddenly I commit it to the Heroku repository, then I run the app. I input the command "addText I'm stuck" and the app successfully edits the txt file that is now showing "Hello guys! I'm stuck". Everything's ok but after a few days (ranging from 1 to 3) the file reverts to when it was commited, in this case to "Hello guys!". The app is a discord.js bot using node.js fs module and writeFileSync/readFileSync commands. Any clues why this is happening?
My solution was to write a function that shows me the txt file content so I can copy and paste it to my local file and commit it when it "resets" to the old commit version. But since I have to use this command every now and then, I cannot predict when the file is gonna refresh and moreover the file is edited pretty much often, everything's a little bit boring -.- Thanks for your answers!
