How to stop Mouse Without Borders from generating a new security key every boot?

Every time I boot my notebook, Mouse Without Borders has a new, different key, and I have to go through the process of setting the security key on it, while the desktop just keep the previous, functional one. The settings are just the same on both.
I'm running Mouse Without Borders 2.1.8.0105 on Windows 10 x64.

I don't believe that there is any such option for Mouse Without Borders.

@harrymc It's nor related to options, as both computers behave differently.

What happens if you just copy all the desktop installation files to the notebook?

@harrymc Same files. I tried running it with elevated permissions, but still didn't get to see the results, as I was unable to reboot the notebook in the last 48 hours.
