Identify configured password retry timeouts
I'm in a corporate environment and log-in using my keycard and a PIN. I also have a password for my Windows user, which I rarely use.
Now I temporarily need to use my password for an automated script (I know about the security impact of that).
Since I rarely use the password, I'm not sure if I have the correct one and would like to find out if I do.
As answered in this question (https://serverfault.com/a/634771), I'd like to use the following command to see if I still have the correct password:
runas /u:yourdomaina_test_user notepad.exe
Now, this should work fine to identify if I have the correct password, but if I have to try a couple of times to get it right, I may lock my account.
The question is, can I identify the password retry/lockout timeouts on my local system without access to the AD configuration?
