Forcing Dedicated AMD Radeon 530 “Switchable” GPU
I have a Dell Inspiron 5000 with a core i7 8550U (UHD Graphics 620) and a Radeon 530 "switchable" gpu. The question I'm asking is if it is at all possible to ignore the UHD graphics and force the Radeon 530 to be the active graphics processor. I've tried manually setting this in the radeon graphics control panel, but some applications are locked. If it is either not possible or not a good idea, then please explain why not (be as descriptive as possible) or direct me to a resource that I can read up about it on. Thanks.
