How to connect a USB Audio Interface with ALSA and JACK in Fedora?

0

I'm trying to run a USB audio interface with JACK so that I can input audio and use SuperCollider to process it (and then run it through an 8 channel speaker system).

I tried two interfaces:

RME Fireface 802 (did not work at all)
Tascam us 16x08 worked to some extent:

The interface works with ALSA. (eg. Reaper runs fine with ALSA as the audio device).

PulseAudio seems to think the interface is a 7.1 Sound System.

JACK does not seem to detect the interface. I'm using Cadence, and can select the interface in 'Configure,' but in Catia, only the system outputs (laptop speakers) were visible.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
