Kali linux ping websites does not work

It does work but when I try to ping with an website like:

          How are your DNS settings configured? Typically this is a DNS issue if you can only ping with IP address. Can we see a screenshot showing the regular ifconfig output?



          If you do not have DNS configured, use the command below to configure DNS



          echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" > /etc/resolv.conf


          Source for command and more information about Kali Linux can be found here.

            Try to ping your gateway/your router by using its IP. If you can doing this, you are missing DNS configuration. You can manually set DNS to 8.8.8.8 or change DHCP on the router side.

              I got the same problem... i fixed it by going to /etc and deleting the damaged file "resolv.conf".then type nano resolv.conf and put in nameserver 8.8.8.8
