Rod Amateau
Rod Amateau, nato Rodney Amateau, (New York, 20 dicembre 1923 – Los Angeles, 29 giugno 2003), è stato un regista e sceneggiatore statunitense.

Si dedicò alla regia sia nel campo del cinema che in quello della televisione.
Fra i programmi televisivi da lui diretti si ricordano, per la NBC, The Dennis Day Show, per la CBS le sitcom The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, con Dwayne Hickman e The New Phil Silvers Show, un tentativo senza successo di Phil Silvers di tornare a fare serie televisive.
Rod diresse anche alcuni episodi di The Dukes of Hazzard dove apparve come attore in alcuni di essi.
Egli è forse più famoso per la regia del 1987 di Sgorbions, stroncato dalla critica.
